Cecilia’s Obituary Cecilia Anne (Pfeiffer) Sotak, 84, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Souderton Mennonite Homes. She was the beloved wife of Michael Sotak, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Palmerton, PA in 1935, she was a daughter of the late Joseph & Anna (Vojtasek) Pfeiffer.

“Lily” enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who gave her much joy and comfort. She loved playing cards with a favorite being a game called Push. She liked nothing more than showing someone new how to play the game.

Bowling was also a favorite hobby. She loved to travel and enjoyed time in Myrtle Beach, SC and Cocoa Beach, Fl. She was a founding member of her church and had spent countless hours handmaking perogies and supporting Wednesday night Bingo in the church social hall.

Cecilia opened her home to not just family but to friends who were always welcomed and treated as family. Surviving Cecilia are her husband Michael Sotak, her children; Michael Sotak Jr (Ilene Batton) of Lansdale, JoAnne Hodgson (Edward) of Franconia Township, David Sotak, of Rahns, PA, Jeanne Brennecke (Jeffrey) of Hatfield, Jonathan Sotak of Pottstown; 7 grandchildren; Amanda, Jillian, Edward, Michael, Cj, Jason, Jonathan Jr and 6 great grandchildren: Anya, Lily, Dominick, Kaylee, Penny and Emily. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer, and her sisters Phyllis, Teresa.

Dolores, and brother Bernard. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, June 1st after 10:00 a.m. in the Social Hall of Presentation of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1564 Allentown Road, Lansdale, with her Funeral Mass following at 11:30 AM in the Church. Interment will be held privately.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Cecilia may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www. alz.org.
