James’ Obituary James “Frank” Hicks, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 25, 2019 in his residence. He was the beloved companion for 33 years to Linda Mohn. Born in Oceanside, CA in 1952, he was a son of the late Samuel F. & Pearl C. (Bell) Hicks.

Frank was a combat veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Following his service, he worked as a machinist for Ford for 30 years, drove truck, and became an avid car enthusiast and mechanic. Outside of work, he was known as the “fish whisperer,” and also enjoyed camping and sports, including golf and bowling, but especially softball.

Frank could also be found riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Bucks County chapter of BACA. Above all, he is remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and for always putting his family first. He was the “greatest Dad he didn’t have to be”.

Surviving, in addition to his companion Linda, are his children, Yvonne McCord (Nate), Tim Mohn, Jr. (Jen), Daniel Hicks (Christine), Dee Dee Rogers (Joe), Stacey Hartzell (Joe), Victoria Hicks (Anthony), Anthony Hicks; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; his brother, Phillip Hicks; and his sister, Diane Cox. Frank is also survived by his former wife and mother of some of his children, Dolores Vuotto. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Hicks.

Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday, May 29 after 1:00 p.m. in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, with memories being shared at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
