McAllen, Texas Mrs. Celerina De La Fuente,85, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Celerina was born on September 6, 1933 in Durango,Mexico to Cruz and Trinidad (Enriques) Morales. Celerina was a long time resident of McAllen.

She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for many years. “Wela”, as she was lovingly called by her family, loved to cook for her family, loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, especially spending time with Tio and Tia at different eating places and stores, especially Wal Mart to shop and Taco Cabana(Chinese Food) to eat. Celerina truly enjoyed life to its fullest.

Celerina will be truly missed by her family and friends. Celerina was preceded in death by her parents; Her Husband Raul De La Fuente, and 7 Siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons- Saul (Alicia) De La Fuente, Roel (Yadira) De La Fuente; Her sister- Hermelinda Martinez; Grandchildren- Valerie, Adrian De La Fuente, Bri Anna Lyn De La Fuente, Ashley Rodriguez, Andres Rodriguez, Jr., Great Grandchildren- Aiden Michael Rodriguez, David Adam Garcia, Abram Elijah Rodriguez.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1910 Pecan in McAllen from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a celebration of Life service to be officiated by Monsignor Juan Nicolau at 7:00 PM. Cremation services will take place at a later time. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen.
