Chad Meredith Trodglen, 44, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 in Southgate, Michigan. He was born on December 20, 1973 in Owensboro to James A. “Sonny” and Phyllis McElroy Trodglen. He worked as a welding inspector for Super Heat.

Chad was an avid UK football and basketball fan. He loved his Duramax, gun collecting, stock car racing, and Kentucky Bourbon “tasting”. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. “Sonny” Trodglen; his mother, Phyllis Trodglen McCollum; and a nephew, Christopher S. Reece.

Survivors include two sons, Caleb A. Trodglen of Louisville, KY and Lucas A. Cramer of Loogootee, IN; one brother, James “Tony” Trodglen II (Gretchen) of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Tracey Wright (Andy) of Houston, TX and Jenifer Edwards (Tim) of Indianapolis; nieces and nephews, Aaron M. Reece, Kayla M. Edwards, Hayley N. Trodglen and Jacob A. Trodglen; and three aunts, Peggy Sue James, Pamilla A. Crawford and Deborah A. Hatcher. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family request expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of his nephew, Chris, at 1941 Bishop Lane, Suite 507, Louisville, KY 40218.
