Obituary for Charles Herman “Charlie” Struewe Charles H. “Charlie” Struewe, 93, of Blue Springs, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2018. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 11th from 9-11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am, both at Napoleon United Methodist Church, 385 Church Street, Napoleon, MO 64074. Interment will follow at Napoleon UMC Cemetery.

Charles was born January 27, 1925, to Herman and Rhoda (Messersmith) Struewe in Levasy, MO. He was a lifelong farmer in Levasy and a skilled auctioneer around the metro area for over 40 years. He also collected lanterns and various antiques as well as created beautiful embroidery pieces.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Hall and husband Bill of Buckner, MO, his son Nelson Struewe and wife Joan of Grain Valley, MO; 5 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; as well as, his sister, Novilla Utterback of Mission, KS. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Wesley Struewe, Alice Platt, Esther Struewe and Irene Lohse. Charles’ family would like to express their appreciation for the many loving caregivers that have served their family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ honor to Napoleon UMC.
