Charles James Andes, Jr. July 12, 1961 – January 15, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Charles James Andes, Jr., age 57, of Charlottesville passed away peacefully on January 15, 2019. Charles is predeceased by his parents, Charles James Andes, Sr. and Sarah Alice Wood Andes. Charles was nicknamed “Doodie” by his mother at an early age.

As hard as he tried to shake free of that nickname, it remained with him his entire life. He will always be Doodie to his siblings who survive him, a brother, Herbert Wayne Andes of Crozet, Virginia; his baby sister, Sandra Wood of Stockdale, Texas and sister, Lavonne Mawyer and husband, Darryl of Amherst, Virginia. To his many cousins, nieces and nephews, he is fondly, and only, remembered as Doodie.

As sincere thank you to Region 10 for their caring support of Charles over the years. Their medical and emotional assistance to him gave him the ability to live his life, as best he could, as he struggled with the issues that plagued him. In respect of the quiet and private man Charles was, there will be no public service.

It is our wish that you remember our brother, our cousin, our nephew, our uncle, our friend as he lived his life.
