Mr. Carver was born July 16, 1931 to the late Ruben and Sadie Carver. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ida C. Carver, his children and their spouses, Barry and Debbie Carver, Joel Carver, Malcolm and Lora Carver, Amanda and Robert Dean, Wendell and Kim Carver; his grandchildren, Cristina Mawyer, Matthew Mawyer, Evan Mawyer and his wife Renee, Jillian Carver and Kyla Carver; his great grandchildren, Nicolas Davis, Ethan Davis, Marshall Mawyer, and Christopher Comisky.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ruben and Sadie Carver; his brothers, Francis, Dabney and Jean Carver and his sister, Joan Leckie and his granddaughter, Olivia Marconi. He was a member of First Christian Church of Keswick for over sixty years where he gladly served on many committees. Faith and family were first in his heart.

He never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell. He will be greatly missed. Services will be held at First Christian Church, 3285 Keswick Road, Keswick, VA 22947 at 2 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, with viewing prior to service at 1 p.m. The family will gather in the fellowship hall at First Christian Church immediately following the graveside service which will be held at Monticello Gardens.
