Holet departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, January 7th, a date she and family originally celebrated, using the old Julian calendar, as “Russian Christmas” or “Little Christmas”. Pauline loved music and dancing. It was at one magical dance, during the Big Band years, that she met a Master Sergeant in the army, Michael M. Holet of Pricedale, Pa. They corresponded through the war years, and after the war married and returned to Pa.
to raise a family. Pauline was active in her church, St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Perryopolis, Pa. , where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
