OBITUARY Lois Jean Layman Bryant May 24, 1954 – January 2, 2019 Lois Jean Layman Bryant, 64, of Charlottesville passed peacefully while at UVA Acute Center for Hospice. Lois was born in Charlottesville on May 24, 1954 to the late Reginald E. Layman, Sr. and the late Mildred Wade Layman. Lois is survived by her husband John Bryant; one brother Reginald “Rex” Layman, Jr. his wife Kathy and their two children, Kirsten Cropp and her husband Brian and Tyler Layman and his wife Jessie; one grandniece Kayleigh Layman and one grandnephew Brayden Cropp all of Palmyra.

Lois was the Senior Administrative assistant for the Cavalier Produce Company for many years, where she will be greatly missed for her dedication to her clients and coworkers. A special thanks to her second family at Cavalier Produce for all of their love and compassion. The family would also like to thank their cousin Dawn Cockerham and neighbors, Joan and Bobby Durrer for all their support.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6-8pm at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd, Charlottesville. A funeral service will be conducted 1 pm Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Teague Funeral Home with Pastor Sandy Kelso officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
