George Henry Shore February 17, 1941 – February 12, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries George Henry Shore, 77, of Charlottesville, Virginia died on February 12, 2019 at Albemarle Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born February 17, 1941 in Radford, Va. , he was the son of Flake and Pauline Shore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Haden. George was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. In recent years, he could be found spreading his cheer and goodwill as the manager of All-American Carwash and riding his John Deere tractor to plow gardens and bushhog.

A nearly lifelong resident of Charlottesville, he had many friends he made through working at the Coca-Cola Company, Tiger Fuel Company, and working at and attending UVA sporting events. George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois Shore of Charlottesville, Va, son Anthony Shore of Charlottesville, daughter Amy Shore of Charlotte, VT, grandson Tyler Rouss of Charlottesville, granddaughter Veronica Weston of Charlotte, VT, sisters Barbara Ray of Ivy, VA and Eloise Cronk of Palmyra, VA, and brother Ray Shore of Charlottesville.
