Patricia Gertrude Meadows Daniels September 30, 1959 – December 15, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook Patricia Gertrude Meadows Daniels, 59, of Barboursville, Va. , went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2018 at UVa Medical Center after a long illness, with her family present. Born September 30, 1959, she was the daughter of Marjorie Butler Meadows and the late Elwood Nelson Meadows.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack Daniels, Jr.; a daughter, Tammy Lynn; two sisters, Kathryn Marie and Ruth Vernell Meadows; and a longtime companion, Wayne Colvin. She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Van Duser of Thorn Hill, Tenn. ; two sisters, Rita Harrington and her husband Bryon of Thorn Hill, Tenn.

, and Shirley White of Marion, N.C.; three brothers, Greg Meadows of Thorn Hill, Tenn. , Boyce Meadows of New Mexico, and Michael Meadows and his wife Sosha of Marion, N.C.; two half-sisters, Ruby Meadows and Christina Carlton of Florida; three half-brothers, Nelson Meadows, George Van Duser, Jr., and Joseph Van Duser and his wife Pam of Gordonsville, Va. ; a special aunt, Shirley Maxwell and her husband Rick of Maryland; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

“Patty,” as she was known to friends and family, had a large generous heart. She always shared whatever she had. She had a love of all animals, but her heart was her CATS.

She loved them all. She would help anyone with anything that needed to be done. She was a manager of a High’s ice cream store when she lived in Maryland.

Special thanks and appreciation go to all the nurses and doctors on 5th floor ICU at UVa; also, to her friends Junior Snow and Cheryl, and the “Morton” family, who were there when she needed them. A memorial service will be held in the Spring at Hill & Wood Funeral Home – Greene Chapel, 15075 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
