Charles’ Obituary Wilton, NY – On Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 Charles John Quinn, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of 67 years. A native of Troy, Charlie was born on July 20th, 1951 to the late Marion Duffy Quinn and Charles John Quinn. He was a devoted husband of 41 years to the love of his life Nancy Zullo Quinn.

Charlie attended Catholic Central High School and was part of the graduating class of 1970. Charlie attended college at SUNY Plattsburgh where he earned his bachelor degree in history. Charlie was also a member of Sigma Epsilon Phi Fraternity.

He spent the majority of his early professional career working in the insurance industry. Later in his career, he transitioned to work for Martin, Harding and Mazzotti as a case coordinator. Charlie was known for his cooking and was always happy to fill the role of head chef for family gatherings and vacations.

As an avid golfer, he enjoyed spending as much time as possible on the course with his golfing buddies. This past June, he fulfilled the lifelong dream of being a US Open Marshall at Shinnecock Hills. Charlie and Nancy were avid travelers and were always looking forward to their next adventure.

One of their favorite trips was hiking Machu Picchu in 2017. Charlie was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his three children, Jessica (Jason) Ordon, Rebecca (Adam) Britten and Ryan (Catherine) Quinn.

Known to his four grandchildren as “Pa”, he found joy in attending their activities and sporting events and always looked forward to our annual summer trip to Cape May, NJ. Grandchildren, Maxwell Britten, Drew Britten, Calvin Ordon and Lena Ordon adored their Pa and will miss him dearly. Charlie is also survived by siblings Maureen Dinon, Patrick (Janet) Quinn, William (Laura) Quinn, and Robert Quinn.

Also survived by in-laws Mary (Lewis) Tricarick and Victoria (Angelo) Marchetti along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1 until 4pm at William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff, Inc. Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, with a funeral service in memory of Charlie immediately following at 4pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charlie’s memory to the SNACpack Program.
