Charles Robert “Bob” Brush, 87, of Brazil, Indiana passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice, in Terre Haute, Indiana on December 14, 2018. Bob was born on March 25, 1931, in Brazil, Indiana the son of Charles and Elsie (Lantz) Brush. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served from 1951 – 1955.

He worked as a machinist at Twigg Industries in Martinsville. He also worked at CBS as a Quality Control Inspector. Bob worked on turbines and generators,… Read More » for Public Service Indiana (now Duke Energy), as part of their traveling maintenance crew.

He retired in 1993 after 25 years of service to the company. Bob was an active member of the American Legion Post 2, in Brazil, where he had served in various positions including Post Commander. He married Charlotte Jones on March 30, 1968 in Wytheville, VA.

Bob enjoyed spending time with Charlotte, riding his 1946 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, tinkering in his garage, caring for his lawn, and spending time with his family and pups. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Elsie Brush; siblings: Opal Fox, Midge Molsom, Birdie Stimpson, Sarah Jane Buck, Ray Brush, and Don Brush; grandson Lucas Holifield and Lisa Holifield. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Charlotte Brush; children: Jacqueline Summers and husband Nathan, Angela Kowitz, Charles Robert Brush II and wife Sherry, and John Brush and wife Denise; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 7:00pm. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7pm.
