Charles S. Martin, Jr. age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 10:52 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Charles was born January 18, 1941, in Roanoke, VA, to Charles S. Martin, Sr. and Louella “Dean” (Cox) Martin. Charles was a devoted husband and father who led his family by example putting God first.

He attended God’s Way Church. Charles retired from Whirlpool in 1997 where he was a crating supervisor. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Jeanette Martin; daughter, Angela (David) Hollingsworth of Evansville, IN; son, Michael Martin of Newburgh, IN; sisters, Brenda Rohfler of Indianapolis, IN and Nancy (Mike) Maday of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Abigail Hollingsworth, and Sydney, Jon, Jasmine, Charlie, Rhiannon and Hunter Rae Martin.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Jim Stuteville officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 and 11:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
