Charles “Butch” Golden, age 83, of Malvern, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019. He was born on October 16, 1935, in Norman, the son of Ember Edison Golden and Alice Ledbetter Golden. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marjorie Louise Golden; his parents; one son, Virgil W. Ellis; and one daughter, Deborah M. George.

Butch was an outstanding wood worker. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish, camp out and bar-b-que, but most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by two sons, Albert (Renee) Ellis and Troy (Tammy) Ellis; two daughters, Debra (Eddie) Vaughan and Patricia (Randall) George, all of Hot Springs; his son-in-law, Gary George of Hot Springs; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family members; and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Paul Grigsby officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time. Pallbearers will be Eddie Vaughan, Randy George, Troy Ellis, Albert Ellis, Caleb Martin and Cameron Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Woodall, Walter Montgomery, Newman Crenshaw and the staff of Arkansas Hospice.
