Obituary Lance Corporal Charlie Samuel Banks, USMC, age 65, departed for heaven Thursday June 21, 2018. Charlie accepted the Lord at an early age. Charlie proudly served in the US Marine Corps, receiving medals for National Defense Service and Rifle Marksman.

He was a real estate investor and general contractor. Charlie Samuel “C.S.” was preceded in death by his parents Rev. David and Bertha Banks Sr

He is survived by his wife of nearly 11 years, Marjorie Harvey Banks; two adoring daughters, Cloretta Trinette Banks-Hester (Tommy) and Charlie Christina Banks (Jasper), both born to his union with wife, Cloretta Thigpen-Banks, who preceded him in death; grandchildren, Javier, Faith and Messiah; three stepchildren, Tyrone, Angele and Lance; three beloved step-grandchildren, Langston, Cadence and Autumn; two brothers, David Banks Jr., (Carol), Scott Banks Sr. (Denise); nine sisters, Missouri (Carl), Georgia (Charles), Wille Mae (Ralph), Bertha (Phield), Delores (Bernard), Marcella (Anthony), Janice, Connie (Frank), and Teresa (Rickey); and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
