Cheryl Jo Oliver October 03, 1943 – October 14, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Cheryl Jo Oliver, 75, of Belle Fourche passed away at her home October 14, 2018, with her loving family at her side. A Ceremonial Tribute was held Saturday, October 20 at 10:00 AM at Kline Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche with Reverend Bob Duemig officiating. Cheryl was born October 3, 1943 in Iowa City, Iowa to Merle and Jessie (Scott) Johnson.

As a child she loved to run around the Mud Buttes by Hulett, WY, spending the afternoon exploring every nook and cranny. She graduated from the 8th grade at St. Agnes Academy Christian School in Alliance, NE in May 1957. She received her high school equivalency in Casper, WY and went on to get an accounting certification at North West Tech in Sturgis, SD.

She had many stories of her trips to Casper. Cheryl married John B. Oliver December 31, 1966 and together they had 3 children, Sheila, Derek and Jason. They divorced and Cheryl has lived in Belle Fourche ever since.

She was a longtime member, along with her mother of the American Legion Auxiliary. For many years she belonged to the Square Dance Club and the Buckles and Bows and went as often as possible. She enjoyed Reading, watching movies, square dancing and playing cards with her family and her little dog, Ty.

She is survived by her children, Sheila (Tyon) Sears of Piedmont, SD, Derek (McKinzi) Oliver of Belle Fourche and Jason Oliver and friend (Misty Kester) of Belle Fourche; 9 grandchildren, Nathan (Lindsey) Sears, Jessica (Michael) Mihok, Keenan McInerney, Zander Oliver, Ivory Oliver, Dustey (Corey) Espy, Lane Kester, Stetson Kester and Stormee Kester; great grandchildren, Kaden Sears, Christopher Sears, Alexander Mihok and Kyriss Kester; her sister, Veronica Johnson; 5 brothers, Richard (Mary) Johnson, Allen (Cathy) Johnson, Larry Johnson, Jack Johnson and Lloyd (Pearl) Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Jessie Johnson and a brother, Butch Johnson.
