Cheryl “Sherry” Long September 08, 1948 – December 18, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card With her family by her side, Cheryl “Sherry” Long, 70, of Pampa passed away. Sherry was born September 8, 1948 in Kingman, Kansas to Kenneth and Beulah Henderson. In 1981, on Valentines Day, she married the love of her life, Glenn “Short” Long in Borger.

Sherry worked for Gunn-Campbell Well Service as a dispatcher for several years. She moved on to pursue her dream as a business woman. She owned and operated Sherry’s Stout Shop in Borger, Amarillo and Ardmore, Oklahoma.

She also owned and operated The Windmill Club in Borger. She moved to Pampa in 2008. She enjoyed socializing and loved all sports.

Her survivors include: a daughter, Regina Alexander and Keith Stewart; a grandson, Kendrick Alexander and Junnis; a granddaughter, Martecia Alexander; a grandson, KeShawn Stewart; a grandson, Jhavon Williams; a great granddaughter, Makiya and a great grandson, Prince. Survivors also include: a daughter, Tina Gilstrap and Donald; granddaughters: Arielle and Ashlyn; a great grandson, Jaxx. Also incuded with her survivors is a daughter, Karla Valenzuela and Steve; granddaughters: Logan Reynolds and Lauren; a grandson, Alex.

Survivors also include: a sister, Sandy Wapelhorst and Allen; a brother, Kenneth Henderson and Janie; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Also incuded with her survivors are a very special loved one, Maleesa Martinez and Amaya and a very dear friend, Patsy Childress. Sherry was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, Glenn who passed in 2003; a daughter, Denisse Gayle Long who passed in 1979 and a grandson, Ryan Gilstrap who passed in 2014.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to Coronado Healthcare and staff and to Interim Hospice: Connie McCoy, Barbara Duree, Pam Martin and Christy Ferguson who gave us love, support and strength. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements have be entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors , Borger.
