Obituary for Christie Marie Haug Christie Marie Haug was born on December 16th, 1970. After high school, she enlisted in the Army and served her country as a medic for six years. Once she left the army, she went on to earn her RN degree from Mississippi State University.

For the next 25+ years, she working as a nurse in various hospital settings; nursing was not just her job, it was her passion. She loved helping people and made it her mission to train others in the nursing field. Christie was well-respected within her field and many sought her advice to help them become a better nurse.

At the time of her death, she was working at the Bone and Joint Center. Besides having a career, Christie married and raised four amazing children: Allison Haug (age 22), Samantha Haug (age 22), Ethan Haug (age 17) and Abby Haug (age 14). She loved her kids so much and enjoyed participating in their hobbies and school activities.

She was their fiercest advocate and worked diligently for them to be productive kind people. Christie also loved nature and instilled this love into her kids; oftentimes, they vacationed at state and national parks. Christie was also quite social and never met a stranger.

She loved sports and she was an avid Ohio State football fan. She also loved to hang out with old friends and she never turned down an opportunity to make new friends. She was funny, loyal, kind and thoughtful.

Her spirit will live on through the lives that she touched. Christie is preceded in death by her brother, James Hunt. She is survived by her children, Samantha, Allison, Ethan and Abigail.

She is also survived by her father, Bill Hunt and mother, Cheryl Hunt. Friends may call at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St in Groveport, from 12 pm until time of service at 2 pm. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Christie Marie Haug please visit our Sympathy Store.
