Obituary for William Paxton Wilber William Paxton Wilber Chillicothe William Paxton Wilber was born June 30, 1949 in Erie, Pennsylvania to parents, William Marshall Wilber and Maxine Hatfield, and passed peacefully on July 24, 2018 with his family close by. Known by all as Bill, he graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1968 where he played football for the Chillicothe High School team. Bill proudly served as a tank mechanic in the Army, staged in Germany from 1969 through 1971.

On September 11th, 1971 Bill married Deborah Meehan and they soon settled into their new home on Plum Street in Chillicothe to raise a family. Bill retired from the Chillicothe Kenworth Manufacturing facility after working there 40 years and served one term as vice president of Chillicothe Jay Cees. In his retirement Bill enjoyed the slow pace of small town life.

He took time to savor a good cup of coffee and Crispie Creme donuts, enjoyed attending Chillicothe High School football games and the KC Raceway, and never missed Fourth of July fireworks, the Feast of the Flowering Moon, or the Hatfield family reunion. Bill loved a good swap meet, spending time with his dogs, and most of all being a good husband and father to his wife and sons. Bill will be missed by his wife, Debby Wilber, sons, William Aaron Wilber and Seth Marshall Wilber, daughter in law, Elizabeth Riegel, sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Michael Glendening, and nephews and cousins who will celebrate Bill’s life in a private family service.
