Obituary for Ursula Elizabeth Nation Ursula Elizabeth Nation (formerly Smyth), 47, passed away on Sunday, July 8th, 2018 in Greenville, South Carolina surrounded by her loving family. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held this Tuesday, July 17th at St. Brigid of Kildare Church 7179 Avery Road Dublin, Ohio in at 10:30 a.m. Visitation hours will be held on Monday, July 16th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Brigid of Kildare. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio immediately following the funeral Mass.

Ursula was born on January 11th, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio to Norman and Antonia Smyth. The third of seven children, she graduated from Lancaster High School in 1989 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Finance from Franklin University in 1999. Ursula had a very successful career as a leadership development executive with JPMorgan Chase & Co

She married Carl Nation on May 19th, 1996. They raised 2 sons (Jared and Mitchel), 2 daughters (Samantha and Francesca) and a stepdaughter (Carli). Mrs. Nation moved to Delaware, Ohio in 2011.

Besides maintaining her successful career and raising her wonderful family, she volunteered at her local food bank, served as a United Way campaign chair and was involved with her local Catholic parish. In her spare time she enjoyed attending concerts and going to the movies. Her family paid this tribute to her, ‘Ursula was a beautiful, strong, giving and caring person with an incredibly indomitable spirit.

She made whoever she talked to feel special, valued and unique. We will miss her but know that her spirit lives on in each of us. ’ She is survived by her husband, children, father, mother, four brothers (Angelo, Vito, Antonio, Giovanni), two sisters (Donata and Gabriella), and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
