Obituary for Donald E. Michel Donald E. Michel age 86 of Columbus passed away peacefully in his home on July 14, 2018. He was born April 8, 1932 to the late Elmer E. Michel and Hazel L. Harble in Union Furnace, Ohio. Don was hardworking man who ran his own excavating business for over 50 years.

He enjoyed weekends in his cabin on the Muskingum River and loved spending time with family and grandchildren. Survived by son, Jim (Juli-Anne) Michel; grandchildren, Jessica (Berkley) Norman, Chandler, Sarah, and Gavin Michel, siblings Edith (Michel) Mount, Ernest Michel and Ralph Michel. Preceded in death by wife, Veronica E. (Schrader) Michel, son, Jeffrey A. Michel and brothers, Kenneth Michel, Phillip Michel, Robert Michel and Charles Michel.
