Christine passed away on April 17, 2018 at the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home near White Clay, NE. Christine is survived by her children, Kenneth “Ted” Prairie Chicken of Rapid City, SD and Eldonna Prairie of Denver, CO; siblings, Madeline Terry of Oglala, SD, Pauline (Garnier) Her Many Horses of Oglala, SD, Louise Jumping Eagle of Rapid City, SD, and Susie Tail of Cheyenne, WY; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Ellen Garnier; spouse, Johnny Wheeler; siblings, Dirk Garnier, Effie (Andrews) Garnier, and Naomi Garner; and children, Blaine Curry, Marty Prairie, and Valerie Brewer. Wake Services: One night wake service will start at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall near Oglala, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church near Oglala, SD.
