Christopher’s Obituary Christopher Garland, 28, of New Ulm died Monday, February 4, 2019 at his home. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 16 from 11 AM to 1 PM and will have lunch being served throughout that time at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Chris is survived by his mother, Jodi (T.

Oliver Skillings) Anderson of New Ulm, his father, Robert (Dawn) Garland of New Ulm; daughters, Lilah Hein and Madison Garland of New Ulm; by his brothers, Jeffrey (Savannah Hess) Garland of New Ulm and Martin Skillings of Bloomington; Nephew and Niece, Austin and Alaina Garland; and special friend, Amanda Harkom of New Ulm. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Christopher Troy Garland was born October 30, 1990 in New Ulm to Robert and Jodi (Anderson) Garland.

He was a 2009 graduate of New Ulm High School. Chris was employed at UCU and Cashwise Liquor in New Ulm. He enjoyed photography, deer hunting, arts and crafts with his daughters, playing guitar and music with friends and was avid rollerblade skater.
