Marion’s Obituary NICOLLET Marion Pope, 86, of Nicollet died Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8th at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet.

There will be a parish prayer service at 4 p.m. Thursday at the church. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. To leave an online condolence for her family or to sign the guestbook go to: www.

mvfh.org Marion is survived by her husband, Paul Pope of Nicollet; sons, Michael (Susan) Pope of Chippewa Falls, WI, Joe (Sue) Pope of St. Peter; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, John (Kathy) Zins of Nicollet. She was preceded in death by her parents. Marion Eleanor Zins was born on October 12, 1932 in Nicollet to Frederick and Gertrude (Kettner) Zins.

On June 2, 1953 she was united in marriage to Paul Pope at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet. Marion worked as a teacher’s aide at the Nicollet Elementary School, and then worked at the Green Giant Canning Factory in LeSueur for twenty five years. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and the “Greats”.

Marion was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. www.
