Whitney’s Obituary Whitney Nicole Le Gare, age 24, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Lafayette MN, died on May 26, 2019 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL due to complications of diabetes. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Gerald Meidl celebrating the Mass. Burial at a later date will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. Monday and 9 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. She was baptized in infancy at the St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette, MN. She attended Sibley East Senior High School in Arlington, MN and was involved in volleyball, softball and cheerleading. After high school graduation she attended UMD-Duluth where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology.

While attending UMD she worked for Northland Country Club as a server/hostess. After graduation she moved to Largo, FL and started her career as a prevention specialist with D.A.C.C.O. Behavioral Health Inc. Whitney enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially, her seven nieces and nephews, they were her pride and joy. Whitney loved country music and long days on the beach, boy, did she love the beach.

Whitney enjoyed cooking, baking and hostessing. She was a natural nurturer and had a passion for animals. Whitney is survived by her parents Mark and Patricia LeGare of Lafayette, MN; sisters, Stephanie (Phil) Goettl of Gaylord MN, Brittanie (Mark) Koch of Sartell, MN, and Courtney LeGare of Atlanta, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Ellie, Bradley, Amelia & Eden Goettl, Lucy, Annie & Jack Koch; her grandmother, Gladys LeGare; great aunts and uncles, aunts and uncles; and many, many friends as well as Martin the cat.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Richard LeGare; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Dolores Reinarts; an aunt, Lori Haefner; cousin, Lauren Elizabeth Hoffman; and a second cousin, Luke Sowers. Whitney had a carefree, spunky, outgoing beautiful soul. She was the life of any party she attended.

She had a contagious smile that would light up any room. She forever will be missed and never forgotten. Blessed be her memory.
