Claire Ellis Broach 81, of Florence, passed away January 9, 2019, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama. She was a native of Winter Haven and Jacksonville, Florida. Claire was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and member of Highland Baptist Church.

She graduated from Winter Haven High School (1955) and Jacksonville Community College. Claire greatly enjoyed time spent with her nephews and their families and enjoyed caring for her two birds. She previously sang in the Highland Baptist church choir Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home from 11 a.m. – 12 Noon on Saturday, January 12, 2019 with the funeral immediately following in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Chris Underwood officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Claire is preceded in death by her parents, Florence Mayme Vickery and Franklin LayField Ellis and former husband, Bill Broach, Jacksonville, Florida. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Ellis Cook (Gene); nephews, Gregory Carl Cook (Kimberly), Birmingham, AL, Stephen Michael Cook (Jennifer), Newnan, GA, and David Franklin Cook (Toree), Florence, AL.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gregory Cook, Stephen Cook, David Cook and Will Cook.
