Obituary for Claris Lefort Danos Claris Lefort Danos passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry N. Danos, Sr for 68 years. Mother of Harry “Nick” Danos, Jr. (Dolores), Susan Danos, Patty Danos Kattan, and Dean Danos (Kelley).

She was born on January 14, 1924. Daughter of the late Alcee Lefort and Armina Danos Lefort. Step daughter of the late Lelia Pitre Lefort.

Sister of the late Mae L. Chiasson and 2 half brothers. Grandmother of Todd Danos (Amy), Tracy Danos Healy (Tom), Sabrina Hymel Bethurum (Greg), Max Hymel (Jackie) Chris Kattan, Darren Kattan (Annelies), Lauren Kattan, Marci Danos, and Mallory Danos Rohall (Ben). She was also survived by 10 great grandchildren and her half sister, Lelis Lefort.

She was the owner of Danos Grocery and a member of the Harvey VFW Post Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards with family and pokeno. She loved to travel to Las Vegas to see her favorite performer, Tony Orland & Dawn.

Claris was a high school graduate of LCO. She believed passionately in education and saw that all her children were well educated in their Catholic faith. She was a native of Cut Off, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA for 72 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy. , Harvey, LA on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
