Coleman’s Obituary Coleman Wright Dugat, 87, formerly of Hemphill, Texas, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 in Colonial Oaks Nursing Home in Sugarland, Texas. Coleman was born December 10, 1931 in Kingsville, Texas to Joseph Dugat and Leah Wright Dugat. He was a member of the United States Army and had served in the Korean War.

He had earned his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Texas A&M. Coleman had worked as a controller for Anheuser-Busch. He and his wife, Julia, had resided in Pasadena before moving to Hemphill where they lived for the past 30 years until her death in November.

They enjoyed trail-riding, dancing at the VFW, antiquing, hunting, and hanging out at the deer camp and at Scrappin’ Valley Yo-Yo Pen with their friends. He was affectionately known as “Pops”. Coleman is survived by his son, Forrest Dugat and wife, Teresa, of Sugarland; daughter, Suzanne Sanders and husband, Richard, of Pearland, Texas; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ann Dugat and granddaughter, Leah Sanders. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Yellowpine Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
