Constance “Connie”‘s Obituary GLENS FALLS — Constance “Connie” Joy Smith, 66, of Rogers Street, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by her loved ones. Connie was born in Glens Falls on July 28, 1952, to the late John H. French Sr and Jean (LaFountain) French. After graduating from Queensbury High School, Connie was a long-time employee of Mallinckrodt in Argyle.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends. She liked crafts, crocheting items for her loved ones, shopping and fishing. She loved cooking for her favorite son-in-law, John, who was her guinea pig for her newest recipes.

She was also an avid animal lover who spoiled her “fur babies”. In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her infant brother, James French and a sister, Joeann Webster. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, who was her world, Rebecca (John) Kennett of Glens Falls; grandchildren, Joshua (Lyndsie) Kennett of Salisbury, VT and Ashley Kennett of Middlebury, VT; a great-granddaughter, Harmonee Rose Kennett of Salisbury, VT; sisters, Bonnie Joseph, Dawn (Jeff) Lettus and Shelly Holcomb; brothers, John (Meredith) French Jr., Robin French, Kenny French, Chuck (Kim) French, Jerry French and Sheldon (Stacey) French; also several nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly, especially her niece Shannon and her husband Lenny.

She leaves behind her dog, Bentley, a bird, Chickie and three grandpups, Zoey, Maddie, and Abbie, who all meant the world to her. Connie had many people whom she loved like family as well. The Bennett’s, Chuck, Flo, Jillian, and Jenessah, who treated her like a mom, grandmother, and friend.

As well as, Katrina (Ryan), Carey and Haiden; Tanya Allen (Mike) and her children Tyrone, Logan, Trinity, Lukas, Mikka and Faith; Veronica Allen and her children Dante, Ashton,and Kalysa all who are Rebecca’s half-sisters, nieces, and nephews. Per Connie’s request, there will be no services. The family will have a celebration of life at their convenience.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Michele Scally, RN from Fort Hudson Health System, Dr. Mason and the Cancer Treatment Center staff, along with the T2 staff at Glens Falls Hospital, Kathy Mazur-Harren, PA and Renee Deuel, LPN at Wilton Family Medicine through Glens Falls Hospital. In loving memory of Connie, contributions may be made to C.R.
