Jessie’s Obituary QUEENSBURY — Jessie “Peachie” Lockhart, 88, of Lockhart Mountain Road in Queensbury, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in Albany with her family by her side. Born on March 6, 1930, in Queensbury, she was the daughter of Ewing and Ethel (Stranahan) Clarke. On June 16, 1948, she married her high school sweetheart, Frank “Jack” Lockhart.

Peachie was the co-owner of High-Lander Cottages in Lake George. She was also an auxiliary member at the Lake George American Legion Post No. 374, a member of the St. James Episcopal Church Alter Guild and past member of Lake George Historical Society.

She had many enjoyments including BINGO and word searches, but above all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Peachie was predeceased by a son, Bobby Lockhart; an infant son, “David”; her sons-in-law, Phillip Johnson and Peter Bovair; and several siblings and in-laws. Those left to cherish her memory are her six daughters, Jacquline Bovair, Brenda (David) Vogt, Sue-Lynn Johnson, Schelly Shaughnessy, Jamie (Randy) Beecher, and Jennifer (Joel) Clark; 15 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Lee; brother-in-law, Raymond (Beverly) Lockhart; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Calling hours will take place Thursday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church in Lake George with Mother Jean DeVaty officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Lake George.

In loving memory of Peachie, contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church 172 Ottawa St., Lake George.
