Frederica’s Obituary QUEENSBURY — Frederica “Fritzie” (Ulrich) Alberti, 84, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Slate Valley Center in Granville. Born June 18, 1934 in The Swedish Hospital, N.Y.C, she was the daughter of the late Elsie Georcke Ulrich and Fred Jacob Ulrich. Fritzie was raised by her mother’s sisters, Felicia and Ida.

She attended Newtown High School in Elmsford, N.Y. and graduated in 1952. Fritzie became a Registered Professional Nurse in 1955 at Westchester School of Nursing in Valhalla, N.Y. In late September 1955, Fritzie was married to Anthony Alberti at the Church of Saint John Evangelist in White Plains, N.Y. They were married 50 years until his passing in 2005.

Before her move to Queensbury in 1992, Fritzie lived in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. for 30 years. She loved taking care of her patients until she raised her family. To Fritzie, family and friends were always important.

Fritzie was an Avon representative for many years. She loved gardening, painting, crossword puzzles, her dogs, and her family. In addition to her parents, Fritzie was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; her daughter, Nancy Frederica Ulrich; and a sister, Elsie Ulrich Szecsy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Lisa Grimm and son-in-law Stephen Grimm of Titusville, Fla. ; her grandson, Daniel Shearer Jr. and his wife, Colby Shearer; two great-grandsons, Daniel III, and Luke Shearer; and also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, March 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Wagner, pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Good Sheppard, officiating. A graveside service will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd.
