Obituary for Corrine O’Connor (Moore) WOLCOTT – Corrine E. (Moore) O’Connor, age 81 of Wolcott, passed away peacefully at home with her devoted husband by her side, on Thursday, September 13, 2018. She was the wife of John O’Connor. Corrine was born on April 6, 1937 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Mulhern) Moore.

She was a graduate of Wilby High School and attended New Britain State College. Corrine worked as a Secretary at Scovill Mfg and Uniroyal in Naugatuck before raising her four sons, She then worked for the US Postal Service and retired after 20 years of service. Corrine loved to visit with her friends and enjoyed playing cards.

She was a member of the Ladies AOH, Slocum # 1 Division and golfed in their league. What was most important to Corrine was her family, especially her grandchildren to whom she was lovingly devoted. She was a parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves her three sons; John O’Connor of Wolcott, Brendan Moore O’Connor of Milford and Emmett O’Connor and his wife, Cheryl of Prospect and her grandchildren; Timothy and Kyla O’Connor. Corrine was predeceased by her son, Timothy Finn O’Connor, her brothers, John and Terrance Moore and her sisters; Annette Magness and Mary Ellen Fazholz. The O’Connor family would like to thank and acknowledge; Josephine, Roberta, Barbara, Patsy, Janie, Sue, Anne, Jack.

Carol and others too numerous to mention as well as the entire Team at Hartford Healthcare at Home for the love and support they shared together during Corrine’s extended illness. Funeral services for Mrs. O’Connor will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St Waterbury at 9:30 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Lake Elise Cemetery, Middlebury.

Relatives and friends may visit with Corrine’s family on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 4:00 till 6:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT.
