Craig Dale Nelson August 10, 1978 ~ October 15, 2018 Craig Dale Nelson, 40, passed away October 15, 2018. He was born August 10, 1978 in Ogden, Utah to Dale B and Marilyn B Nelson. He lived most of his life in Roy, Utah.

Craig was engaged and has spent the last 9 years with Brittany Weimer, whom he loved very much. Together they enjoyed many adventures with their two dogs (Phoebe & Baily) and family at their sides. Craig instantly became part of Brittany’s family where he forged meaningful and enduring relationships that will be cherished for lifetimes.

Craig’s love of the outdoors drew many friends into his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent many hours in the mountains enjoying wildlife and the beauty of nature. Always happy to share time and talent camping, fishing, hiking, and hunting, Craig was the ultimate guide on these adventures.

He was most generous with his time, love, and trade, values that were admired by everyone he met. Our dear Craig was a loving partner, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Every child he came in contact with was instantly drawn to him and found comfort in his loving arms (animals too).

His love for his nieces and nephews, which he cherished as if his own children, will be everlasting. Craig attended Roy High School and was a skilled Journeyman Plumber, having worked for K-Bell Plumbing and currently Spencer Plumbing. Craig mastered any skill and never shied away from a challenge.

He was very proud of the beautiful home he and Brittany built together in Bountiful, Utah. Craig will be remembered and cherished by Brittany, his sweet mother Marilyn, siblings: Sharon, Glenn (Kelli), Annette (Ryan) Ogden, Connie (Bryson) Doxey, Brittany’s Family: Granny and Kirk, Sharon (Bruce), Jon (Madison), Brandon (Liz), Raquel (Camron), Blake (Jessica), and Angelica (Jonathan); as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W 5600 S. We invite all who loved him to come share hugs and memories – we appreciate all the love and kindness that has been extended to us which will help carry us through this heartbreaking loss. Craigo… we love and will miss you more than you will ever, ever know.
