Gail Glover Taylor 1934 ~ 2018 On October 6, 2018, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend Gail Taylor, passed peacefully through the veil. Gail was born the first daughter of Valence C. Glover and Hattie Virginia Glover. She grew up a hard working farmer’s daughter along with her siblings, David, Kay and Terry.

The Glover children learned the value of hard work and sacrifice during the war and The Depression. Gail loved her school years and was a diligent student and a good friend. She was on student committees and was a cheerleader at Davis High School, while cheering at a ball game one night, a handsome Davis High alumnus named Dick Taylor caught sight of her and decided to ask her out.

Thus started their great love story that lasted Sixty-Two years and continues to this day. Together they raised six children, Drew (Leilani), David (Nancy), Nolan (Rhonda), Valerie (John) Beutler, Stephanie (Mark) Ewing, Melodie (John) Mauldin. Mom and dad’s pride and joy is their children, 22 grandchildren and, 34 great-grandchildren.

Gail was a wonderful teacher. She loved all the school children she taught in the elementary schools throughout the years. .

She loved working in the writing lab at Sky View High School. Later when she moved to Layton she taught in the computer lab at East Layton Elementary. Mom had a great and enduring faith in her Savior Jesus Christ which sustained her through many of her life’s trials.

She had many callings in the church throughout her life and enjoyed serving others. She was so devoted to dad as he battled cancer for seven years, then endured four more years of her own serious health problems. She was strong, brave, and endured to the end with grace.

Through it all she never lost her cute sense of humor. We would like to especially thank all of mom’s caregivers at Fairfield Village and Encompass Hospice. We appreciate the loving care you gave to our dear mother.

We are deeply grateful for all her wonderful friends and neighbors who also watched over her through the years. Friends may visit with family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd.

, Layton, Utah. A family service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
