Obituary of D. Smith On December 14, 2018, D. Charlene Smith passed away in Goldendale, Washington at the age of 74. She was born on November 11, 1944 in Astoria, Oregon to Janice Fay (Nesmith) and Donald Vincent Smith. Ms. Smith worked as a secretary for various businesses and was a member of New Life Assembly of God church and the Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting and scrapbooking. Ms. Smith is survived by her sons J.J. Miner of Portland, Oregon and Shane Miner of the Tri-Cities, Washington; and sister Wendy Hodges of Goldendale. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Davey Joe.
