Dale’s Obituary Dale M. Stock, 90, of Messiah Village and formerly of Dillsburg, entered God’s Kingdom on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Harrisburg Hospital. He was born July 19, 1928, in Reading Township, Adams County, PA, the son of the late John L. and Mary C. March Stock. Dale graduated from Biglerville High School, class of 1945.

Dale was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War and then served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for many years. He joined the US Postal Service in 1961 in Harrisburg. He was transferred to the Dillsburg Post Office, where he served as Postmaster from 1968-1977.

He transferred to the Mechanicsburg Post Office in 1977 and retiring in 1988. Dale was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Dillsburg; the National Association of Post Masters; IOOF Mount Zion #74; South Mountain VFW Post #6771, Dillsburg; the Mechanicsburg Club and the NARFE West Shore Chapter 1465. Dale was the widower of his beloved wife of 66 years, Miriam R. (Coulson) Stock.

He is survived by his nephew and niece: Donald Stock of Hanover and Meg Fullerton of York along with several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John J. Stock. Services will be held Saturday, March 9th, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Calvary United Methodist Church, 203 Mumper Lane, Dillsburg, PA.

Burial will be in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church, 203 Mumper Lane, Dillsburg, PA 17019 or the Messiah Village Endowment Fund, 100 Mt.

Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
