Daniel Gilbert Lista, July 24, 1930 — March 05, 2019

Daniel’s Obituary Daniel Gilbert Lista, of Franconia Township and formerly of Hilltown Township, PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at his home. He was 88. He was the husband of Nicolette S. (Cinquino) Lista.

The couple had celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary on July 5, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Voso) Lista. He was a 1948 graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, Philadelphia, PA.

Immediately following graduation from high school, Mr. Lista entered the U. S. Army. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Signal Corps from 1948 to 1952 and was stationed in Berlin, Germany. During the 1960’s, he attended the Philco Technical Institute in Philadelphia where he attained his Associate’s Degree in Computer Science.

Mr. Lista was first employed by Buten’s Paints, Philadelphia, for a number of years. Then, he worked as a computer systems analyst for Bell Atlantic Telephone, Philadelphia, from 1971 until retiring in 1996. He was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

An avid golfer, he also enjoyed playing basketball in his younger years. In addition to watching sports, he loved playing cards, particularly “Pinochle” and “Bridge”. Surviving with his wife are three children, Susan Anderson and her husband Scott, of Silverdale, PA, Louis Anthony Lista and his husband Paul DeVeau, of Hartford, CT, and Daniel M. Lista and his wife Patricia, of Harleysville, PA; four grandchildren, Katelynn Anderson Vogt, Jenna Anderson, Kelsey Lista and Matthew Lista; a brother, Louis A. Lista, of Hilltown Twp.

, PA; and a sister, Mary Jean Lista, of Sellersville, PA. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Emilia Dezzi, Marion Rishkofski and Eleanor Talio. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Perkasie (Hilltown), PA, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

Interment will be held privately in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peter Becker Community Benevolent Fund, 800 Maple Avenue, Harleysville, PA 19438. Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
