Daniel’s Obituary Daniel P. “Dan” Kryger, of Greenville, PA, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA on January 20, 2019, at 10:03pm. He was 82. On July 24, 1936, Dan was born in Brooklyn, NY, a son to Catherine (Waskowitz) and Anthony G. Kryger.

During his time in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1961, Dan served in the Korean War. While living in New York, he was a Security Trader and Operations Manager for the New York Stock Exchange in New York City. Dan was member and and Eucharistic Minister at Notre Dame Church in Hermitage, and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed gardening, cooking and walking every morning. Dan took exceptional care of his wife, as he was the kind of person who would go above and beyond to help people. He is survived by his wife, Joan Kryger, whom he married on October 28, 1967, and his son Dr. Craig Kryger, of Greenville, PA.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents.
