Danny Smithwick, 54, of Big Spring, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil service will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral will be at 10:00 AM, Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Danny was born June 30, 1964 in Big Spring, Texas to Celia Carrasco Smithwick and Albert Smithwick. He married Maria Lourdes Garcia on July 11, 1987 in Big Spring, Texas. He had lived most of his life in Big Spring, except for 17… Read More » years in Waco.

He had been a cook at KC Steakhouse in his earlier years. He was an avid reader and a great mechanic. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Danny is survived by his wife Maria Lourdes Smithwick of Waco; one son: James Daniel Smithwick, also of Waco; his parents: Celia and Albert Smithwick of Big Spring; one brother: Johnny Smithwick and wife Cecelia of Big Spring; four sisters: Linda Smithwick, Maria Smithwick, Rose Dominguez and husband Ruben and Alice Smithwick, all of Big Spring; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons: Albert Ramon Smithwick and John Robert Smithwick. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
