M. with the visitation beginning at 8:00 A. M. at Owens-Thomas Funeral Home in Eunice, LA. Burial will be in Our Mother of Mercy C. C. Cemetery in Church Point, LA. Rev.

Robert Johnson will officiate the funeral service. On February 11, 2019, time drew back the curtain and brought to a close, the end of day for our beloved Darry. Cherishing his memory will be his mother: Vernetta Landry; surrogate parents: Freddie Jiles and Willie “Pop” Bryant who loved and nurtured Darry as their own; 9 brothers: Issac (Connie) Handy, Albert Jiles, Da’Juan Jiles, Lawrence Leday, Michael Carrington, Willie Carrington, Christopher Landry and Joseph Landry all of Church Point, LA and Richard Carrington of Eunice, LA; 5 sisters: Tarsha and Beonce Jiles both of Church Point, LA, Candia (James) Hebert of Abbeville, LA and Nicole and Belinda Carrington both of Tyler, TX; 6 step-brothers and 1 step-sister all of Opelousas, LA; his grandparents: Albert (Betty) Jiles and Mildred “Mrs. Mae” Stevens; his Godparents: Dennis Harris and Bridget Wheeler; 10 uncles: Mark (Betty) Boudreaux, Joseph (Lashonda) Lovings, Christopher (Jonette) Lovings, Delton (Rose) Carter, Rickey (Bridget) Boudreaux, Bob Bims, Joseph Boudreaux, Sr., Sandy (Antoinette) Bryant, Tim (Brenda) Handy and Brandon (Lillian) Boudreaux; 3 Godchildren: Sanyia Johnson, Brayden Jiles and Brooklynn Boquie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Darry was preceded in death by one sister: Lenita Carrington; one daughter: Taliyah Leday; one aunt: Larenda Lovings; his great-grandfather: Joseph Boudreaux, Jr; one step-brother: Eric Harrison; and one uncle: Kent Bryant. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
