M. at St. Joseph C. C. in Ville Platte, LA. The visitation will be observed from 8:00 A. M. until service time at Owens-Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte, LA. Burial will be in St. Joseph C. C. Cemetery.

Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements. On Thursday, January 31, 2019, time drew back the curtain and brought to a close, the end of day for our belove Alvin. He leaves to cherish his memory, one sons: Donald (Jeanetta) Fontenot; two children he reared as his own: Alton (Melissa) Green, Dominique Glasper; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers: Railus (Elizabeth) Fontenot, Allen Fontenot and Walter (Patrinella) Fontenot; four sisters: Berna Bell (Varius) Jason, Hazeleen Moore, Regina (Nathaniel) Thomas and Judy (Edwin) Thomas; two Godchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Alvin was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ellen Wright Fontenot; his parents: Joseph Fontenot & Regina Ardoin; one brother: Joseph Fontenot Jr; and two sisters: Bernita Williams and Hazelmae August-Pierre. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements. SERVICES Funeral Service Saturday, February 02, 2019 10:30 AM St. Joseph C.C. 1107 M.L.K.
