M. at Owens-Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte, LA. The visitation will be observed from 8:00 A. M. until time of service at Owens-Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte, LA. Burial will be in St. James B. C. Cemetery in Bayou Chicot, LA.

Sister Eva Richardson was born in Eunice, LA on April 10, 1945 to the late Winnie Rideaux and the Late Hosey Bellard. At an early age, she joined the Golden Star Baptist Church in Eunice and was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. Melvin Green, Sr. Anyone who knew Eva, knew that she was caring, loving and the sweetest person you could meet.

She would take you in, feed you, and treat you like you were one of her own. Eva enjoyed life to the fullest. God called sister Eva Mae Bellard-Richardson to enter her eternal rest on January 31, 2019.

Mourning her departure, yet cherishing her everlasting memories are her son: Deantre (Demeise) Williams of Baytown, TX; her daughters: Chaman Marie Richardson of Mamou, LA, Detra Patterson and Roxy (Emmeal) Watson of Baytown, TX; her step-father: Charles Griffin of Baytown, TX; four sisters: Joyce Bellard-Turner, Pearly Rideaux and Odelia Charlot all of Mamou, LA, and Pauline Charlot of Chataignier, LA; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Eva was preceded in death by her loving companion of 47 years, Aaron Simon; her mother: Winnie Rideaux; her father: Hosey Bellard; one granddaughter: Jamie Richardson-Prejean; and one brother Joseph Charlot, Jr. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
