M. with the visitation beginning at 8:00 A. M. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Swords, LA. Burial will be in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. Rev.

Borgia Aubespin, SVD will officiate the funeral mass. Stelzia Gobert was born to the late Goldman and Arnestazie Guillory on June 26, 1935. Stelzia met, fell in love with, and married Pervick Gobert.

To this union, was born nine children. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, ‘Zay’ as she was known, worked at Air King, PPG Chemical Plant and Prompt Succor Nursing Home. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, bingo, watching Wheel of Fortune, and cooking shows.

Zay was an outstanding cook, always perfecting the recipes she observed on television. She also loved to draw and that talent was passed on to many. But her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Stelzia was also a deeply faithful woman and welcomed all who came within her reach. She offered up constant prayers and petitions for her family and friends and in hopes of making the world a better place. Her faith in Jesus and her well used ‘New Saint Joseph’s People Prayer Book’ remained close companions and her of strength and solace.

Stelzia leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy, six daughters: Martha Gobert of Opelousas, Louisiana; Gracie Gallien of Opelousas, Louisiana; Mildred Graves of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Mona (Charles) Gobert-Cravins of Washington, Louisiana; Elaine Victoria of Arlington, Texas; and Lorena Gobert of Lafayette, Louisiana; two sons: Donald Gobert of Swords, Louisiana; and Kevin (Shonda) Gobert of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three sisters: Estella Ledet of Winnie, Texas; Ella E. Fontenot of Raywood, Texas; and Laura Guillory of Pitreville, Louisiana; and one brother: Harold ‘T’ Guillory of Devers, Texas; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren: and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Pervick J. Gobert; one son: Kenneth J. Gobert; her parents: Goldman and Arnestazie Guillory; two sisters: Ella Lou Richard and Ella Mae Guillory; and seven brothers: Wilton, Freddie, Shelton, Lindbergh, Clyde, Goldman Jr. and Peter Sr. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
