Darwin “DJ”‘s Obituary Obituary Darwin Hurtado, 23 Darwin James Hurtado, 23, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019. DJ was born January 22, 1996 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Quentin Lee Hurtado and Banica Jo Martinez Hurtado. DJ attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

He also attended Oregon State University in Corvalis, Oregon. Darwin has lived in Idaho Falls, Corvallis, Oregon and Eugene, Oregon. He worked in construction doing concrete.

DJ was a member of the Native American Church. He enjoyed singing, camping, hunting, fishing and playing baseball. He was also an avid gamer.

He was a devoted Indianapolis Colts fan. DJ is survived by his parents, Quentin and Banica Hurtado of Idaho Falls; brothers, Brek (Jordan) Martinez and Conner Hurtado both of Idaho Falls; sister, Alyssa Hurtado of Idaho Falls; grandparents, Paula Soelberg/Broadhead and Clair Broadhead of Blackfoot, Ramon Martinez of Ririe and girlfriend, Tristi Clark of Idaho Falls. He was preceded in death by Frank D. Hurtado, Melinda R. Mosho, Belle Wetchie, Tito and Ada Hurtado, Jack and Rose Martinez and Winston J. and Josephine Soelberg A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 11, 2019 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot, Idaho.

Family will meet with friends and relatives from 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday, February 10, 2019 for a viewing at Hawker Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service. Food will be served on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday from noon to 2:00 pm at Sa-Sys Event Center, 214 S. University Avenue, Blackfoot. We invite everyone to join us in having a last meal with DJ before we lay him to rest.

Interment will follow at the Spencer Cemetery. Condolences and memories of DJ may be shared at www. hawkerfuneralhome.com.
