Lois’ Obituary Obituary Lois Christiansen Olsen, 91 Lois Christiansen Olsen, 91, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at Bingham Memorial Hospital. She was born May 2, 1927 in Thomas, Idaho to Gerald Niels Christiansen and Florence Ida Wheeler. She graduated from the Moreland High School.

Following graduation she attended nursing school in Idaho Falls. While living in Idaho Falls she met her husband to be and on June 22, 1948, she and Ariel LaMar Olsen were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in numerous callings and capacities.

She loved quilting, hand work and dancing. She and LaMar would go to Ririe every weekend where they enjoyed ballroom and swing dancing. Above all she cherished the time spent with her family in various outings together.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Kay Olsen of Riverside, Sharon Marie (John) Fisher of Salt Lake City, Calvin Delan (Heidi) Olsen of Moreland and a daughter-in-law Karen Olsen of Moreland; sister Ida Arave and brother DeVar Christiansen; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Florence Christiansen, her sons Randy C. Olsen and David L. Olsen, a daughter LaDene Walker, a daughter-in-law, Kristine Olsen, her brothers Clyde Christiansen, Rex Christiansen, Lowell Christiansen and Howard Christiansen, and her sisters Beth Olsen and Marva Layton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Moreland 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 740 W.175 N. in Blackfoot with Bishop Brad Adams conducting.

The family will meet with friends and relatives on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. , Blackfoot, Idaho and for one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Primary Children’s Hospital or Huntsman Cancer Center.
