David A. Blasch, 95 Mineral Point, died July 27, 2018. Born February 8, 1923, in Johnstown, son of the late Otto and Katherine (Fuoss) Blasch, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife Genevieve “Genny” (Grimm) Blasch, in 2004, son, James Saunders; siblings, Louise Fisher, Paul, Herman, Carl and Albert; and son-in-law, Arthur Putt. Survived by children, Margaret Jo Putt, Holsopple; and Jerry Saunders (Dolores), Philadelphia; daughter-in-law, Carole Saunders, Johnstown; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was a 1941 JHS graduate, then worked as a salesman for several wholesalers, in Pittsburgh and Ohio. He was a faithful member of Oakland United Methodist Church. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-8 PM, and Wednesday from 10 until the time of services at 11:00 AM, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd.
