Ilene Wissinger, 96, Johnstown, died July 28, 2018. She was born in Paint Twp. , Somerset County, daughter of the late George C. and Elvie M. (Orris) Marsh.

Ilene was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Victor Washabaugh, who died in WWII, and her 2nd husband, Owen W. Wissinger, in 2011, sons Vic Washabaugh and Gary Wissinger, granddaughters, Holly Schultz and Michelle Horner; and siblings, Gladys Dissendorfer, Virginia Bury, Alfred Marsh and Alice Huebner. She is survived by sons, Ron Wissinger, and wife Sandy, Johnstown; and Brian Wissinger, Phoenix; daughter-in-law Gerri Wissinger, Johnstown; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; her twin sister Irene Angus; and many nieces and nephews. Ilene was a faithful member of Franklin St. United Methodist Church, where she was a great help in the kitchen.

She worked the polls for many years, and also received a commemoration for voting for 50 straight years from Gov. Ridge. She was a member of the Cambria City Mission Sewing Club, and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Masonic Temple.

She also enjoyed bingo, crocheting, her flowers and most of all cooking for her family. Friends will be received Wednesday from 3-8 PM, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. , where services will be held 10 AM Thursday, Rev.

Terry Knipple officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery. The family would also like to thank the staff of the Atrium Manor, Westmont Woods and Interim Hospice for the dedicated care they showed to Ilene.
