David A. Wood, Jr. July 2, 1982 – July 5, 2018 David A. Wood, Jr., 36, Chesterton, Indiana, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 3:51 pm in Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso, IN. A private celebration of life will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born July 2, 1982 in Merrillville, Indiana to David A. and Pamela (Howard) Wood. On November 13, 2015 in Crown Point, IN he married Jaquel Lozano who survives in Chesterton, IN. Also surviving are two daughters, Alexis Wood and Jasmine Wood, both of Lowell, IN; four sons, David A. Wood, III of Lowell, IN, Isaiah Walters of Chesterton, IN, Jeremiah Tefteller of Chesterton, IN and Joshua Tefteller of Chesterton, IN; his mother, Pamela Wood, of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Charles Metheny, II of Phoenix, AZ; and his grandmother, Barbara Howard of Phoenix, AZ.

He was a welder at Dekker VacuumTechnologies. David was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed cooking, barbecuing and playing chess. He was a loving son, husband, father and a Christian man.
