Died Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at The Oaks at NorthPointe Woods. David was born on January 9, 1932, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Leonard and Donna (Zietlow) Radtke. He had been an area resident since 1969 coming from Milwaukee.

He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. On May 7, 1955, he was united in marriage to the former Ruth I. Coleman who preceded him in death in 2003. He was employed with the United States Post Office for 33 years retiring in 1987.

David was a member of the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a Trustee for many years at the church. He enjoyed woodworking, computers and collecting banjo’s and ukulele’s. Surviving is a daughter, Susan Lynne Radtke; a sister-in-law, Marvel Jeanne Coleman and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Roger Radtke. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with The Rev.

Cary Grant officiating. Interment with full military honors will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
